Today we got this lovely letter from Julie Wallis
from The Dhaka Project who visited Bhola.
Thank you Julie!

Dear Bruna,

I am an Australian volunteer in Dhaka working as a Medical Centre Coordinator with The Dhaka Project - a project that provides education for children living in slum area around Gawair. My assignment will come to an end in May 2010, I then hope to remain in Bangladesh continuing my work in the development field.

I was fortunate enough to be able to visit Bhola Children over the weekend when Rossie (Arifur Rahman) took myself and two other volunteers for a trip to Bhola.

I was very impressed with the love and dedication shown by Mr Ali and the other staff at Bhola Children. It is heartening to see a project dedicated to disabled children and working in a very powerful way to bring about positive change in their lives. We were greeted warmly with music and song and told the stories of all those present. We unfortunately did not have enough time to visit the property that is being prepared as a place of rehabiliation inthe future but perhaps it will be possible on another trip.

I wanted to write an express my gratitiude and well wishes to the whole team at Bhola Children. I have attached a photo that was taken at the end of our visit.

With Best Wishes,

Julie Wallis Medical

Centre Coordinator
